October Half-Term Camp 2021

We are pleased to announce the latest instalments of our Hockey Camps this half-term on Thurs 28th & Fri 29th October.

Participants, no matter what their current level, can expect fun, action packed sessions delivered by our experienced coaches. The camp will consist of innovative warm-ups, skill development activities, daily masterclasses, and both small & large-context gameplay. With the careful design of our camps we are confident all participants will leave as better players and with a positive camp experience.

At all our camps we will aim to tailor the content to help individuals develop their game. Our coaching team have played and coached at a variety of levels including nationally and internationally, as a team we are excited to be able to pass on our knowledge to players whatever stage they are at in their hockey journey.

Suitable for 6-16 year olds (GKs and Outfield Players) - Primary/Secondary training groups split.

Dates: Thursday 28th & Friday 29th October

Time: 10am - 4pm

Price: -£60 for 2 days or £35 for one

We are pleased to announce the first of two instalments of our Summer Hockey Camps on Thurs 29th & Fri 30th July. We also have the pleasure of guest coach Sam Taylor - GB EDP & England U21 International joining us to pass on his knowledge and wisdom.

At all our camps we aim to tailor the content to help individuals develo their game to the next level. We are delighted to be able to add a guest coach to our already experienced team in the shape of GB EDP & England U21 player Sam Taylor. During what is to be a busy summer for Sam, with training camps and international fixtures, it's great news having him come along to coach and inspire the next generation.

Easter Hockey Camp 2021

Following the recent government announcement we are pleased to bring to you the Easter edition of our 2-day camps!

Participants, no matter what their current level, can expect fun, action packed days delivered by our experienced coaches. The camp will consist of innovative warm-ups, skill development activities, daily masterclasses, and both small & large-context gameplay. With the careful design of our camps we are confident all participants will leave as better players and with a positive camp experience.

At all our camps we will aim to tailor the content to help individuals develop their game. Our coaching team for this camp includes specialist GK coach Matt, who will be working with all goalkeepers, as well as outfield coaches John, Rory and Ash.

Suitable for 6-16 year olds (GKs and Outfield Players) - Primary/Secondary training groups split, to adhere to Covid guidelines on maximum group sizes.

Dates: Monday 12th & Tuesday 13th April

Christmas Hockey Camp 2020

Following our successful October Half-Term camp we are back with our Christmas holiday coaching camp!! We are also excited to offer to you our NEW 1 to 1 sessions and specialist goalkeeper session.

1 to 1s: As part of this camp we are also running 1 to 1 sessions suitable for those players who are perhaps looking to break into a new team, making that transition into adult hockey or fine-tune a specific skill. Our coaches will work closely with players, tailoring the session to really accelerate their learning.

Specialist GK Session: This session will be lead by Phil who has years or experience at the very highest level, including previously playing internationally for Scotland. This session is suitable for goalkeepers of all ages and abilities looking to pick up tips and develop their game.

Suitable for 6-16 year olds (GKs and Outfield Players) - Primary/Secondary training groups split, to adhere to Covid guidelines on maximum group sizes.

Dates: Monday 21st & Tuesday 22nd December

Time: 10am - 1pm (1 to 1s: 1hr slots available from 1.30pm-3.30pm Mon Only - Limited Spaces) (Specialist GK Session: 1.30pm-3.30pm Mon Only)

Location: Plymouth Marjon Hockey Centre

Price: -£35 for 2 days or £20 for one -1 to 1s: £30ph OR £25ph - when booked with session(s) -Specialist GK Session: £20

As a result we have altered the camp format, to a morning camp, by shortening the length of the breaks, to maximise playing time. However, in addition we are offering 1 to 1 sessions in the afternoons for those interested. If there happens to be bad weather, then parents/carers are free to collect their children at any point, however unfortunatley we are not in a position to be able to offer refunds due to the finacial commitments we will have made for the camp to go ahead.

Plymouth Marjon Hockey Development

Hockey Dynamics is now branching out further into the realms of Sport Development with the support of Plymouth Marjon University. We will now be looking further our audience to bring Hockey to new demographics with new projects and continue our ever growing school sport programme. Some of these programmes include Walking Hockey, bringing an opportunity to play Hockey for those that might not want to be chasing young legs all day, as well as disability hockey as we aim to become more inclusive than ever.

Plymouth Junior Hockey League 2018 Schedule

This seasons Plymouth Junior Hockey League will all be staged at the Plymouth Marjon Hockey Centre with access to 2 pitches enabling ease of access and coordination for coaches, managers, volunteers and parents.

All the dates for the seocnd half of the 2017-18 season are now available on the Hockey Dynamics Calendar.

Giselle Ansley leads summer camp guest list

This year our summer camps are going to be a little bit different- and bigger than ever before.

For the first time we are going to have access to two pitches on-site at Marjon, giving us more options than ever before. Not only that, we are to be joined by some special guests. This contingent of guests is lead by Olympic Gold medallist Giselle Ansley who returns to her old club ground to inspire and teach the next generation in the hope that they too can achieve success.

Giselle played much of her junior hockey at Plymouth Marjon hockey club, learning and developing skills before moving on to greater things. In 2015 Giselle won her first major honour, as England won the European Championships held at the London Olympic venue. In 2016 she then went on to go one further, as Great Britain secured a historic victory in Rio to secure a first EVER Olympic gold in womens hockey. In 2017 she also secured some incredible personal acheivements. Firstly she was awarded an MBE in the new years' honours list, then she was also awarded player of the season in the Investec Women’s Hockey League as voted by players after topping the goalscoring charts as Surbiton (her current team) took the top spot.

As you can see Giselle has achieved great things in the sport and now looks to pass on her knowledge to the next generation of future hockey stars.

The Camps take place this year over four days from July 25th to July 28th and booking will be open shortly so keep up to date on the website to make sure you don't miss out!
